hey barn, i just have a question about the way you put your logs together. do you cut each log to length or do you sew by strip piecing ala eleanor burns?
I think if I cut them the correct length, I'd never make a log cabin. :D I cut strips only--hang them all on my wooden ladders and choose the next strip one by one. Several blocks will use the same strip--but the decisions are made block per block. A bit obsessive, wouldn't you say. :roll: Then I trim them up, iron, and go another round.

I can't wait for the quilters to call and say they're all ready to be picked up!! :D :D I'm wondering if she'll want the floral...

Kathy--the quilter is doing an all over pattern of a sunflower design--a pattern about 6" wide at the outer edge. She had to order the design. The thread is cream--it fit perfectly.

She's got three of my tops... but she's not doing any for anyone else right now, so I might get a call soon.
