Default Finally got a quilt top done-isewman

After hand quilting a quilt for a lady, near Norwalk, Iowa. I finally got a quilt top done. Of all the years that I have been quilting. I decided to do 1 on point. It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Of all the years, I have always sewed my quilts, in rows or with sashing strips. Also I had a friend ask me if I could do something with polyester shirts. He used to train football at the high school. I said bring them over. And I would look at them. He was going to give them to goodwill. The picture I posted is what I did with his shirts. 1 more thing, I never ever sewed in the ditch. So I told him, I would get some pointers/knowledge on tieing. This was my 1st tied project. So everyone, tell me what you think. I dont mind cristism(sp) The quilt pattern is called--flying clouds-out of a book by Judy Hopkins--Once more around the block. TAKE CARE EVERYONE--Don-isewmanA close up view of the blockThis is what I did with my friends poly shirts

Very nice, Don. I think tying the shirt quilt was the perfect thing to do. I don't know what the pattern is on the pinwheel quilt, but I like it.
