Awesome quilt. How long did it take you to learn to do those feathers they are great. My husband just bought me a Janome 6600 and I tried fmq and have a new respect for someone who does this mine was horrible.....But it was first time and I am a newbie so maybe one day.............................................

The trick to long arm quilting feathers or any other motif, is to practice drawing on paper first. Doodling is a huge part of free motion quilting and really trains your brain. You know the saying, practice, practice, practice.
