Finally! Penny's Jeweled Forest started and finished.
#33
The reason it took only one week to make my Jeweled Forest was because I injured my foot, and the podiatrist put that foot in a boot so that the ankle doesn't move....so that it will heal. I can't stand to spend much time out of the house with this boot....so I stayed at home just working on it for one full week!!
It is sort of monotonous doing the border. The trees were fun because you can use so many colors and textures. The one thing I would recommend for the border is to leave a bit more fabric beyond the 1/4 inch sewing line at the tips of the points, and cross the sewing of the points just a tiny 'smidge' BEFORE the pattern shows the crossing point. I had a hard time sewing on the binding and still showing the points. It looks easy, but I didn't find it so.
