Very nice! A girl cannot have too many of grandma's quilts.

All of the squares are flannel with warm & natural sandwiched between and measure 8 x 8 with a ½" seam allowance.
The border rectangles measure 4½ x 10". I DID have to add an end piece to the top and bottom because the border didn't match up perfectly. Some of the seams are 5/8" (in the border) instead of ½". I didn't do any math before construction. But...I figured it's a rag quilt who cares.
I did a FM meandering stitch on each square and a scrolly stitch on the border rectangles. Trying to get lots of FM practice.
I have 8 grandkids, five of them girls. I could give it to one of the other girls. Or...I like the suggestion of keeping it at Grandma's for an extra blanket. Then they would probably fight over which one gets to use it. I normally have all of them spend the night when they come. I know...glutten for punishment. :D
Thanks so much for all the warm compliments. Sure makes a gal feel good.
Lynn

A wonderful looking quilt! What fabric did you use? It looks like flannel.

What a lovely find during your cleaning spree :) A pretty quilt to start your granddaughter's quilt collection. You can never have too many quilts.
