Nice quilt - one of the things I like best is the color choices are more unconventional = modern. I love it!!

Beautifully done. I like the colors, but not together, so I would agree about that part. One trick is to select one theme fabric you really like and take it along as you select the others. The little color registry boxes on the selvage are colors from that first fabric, so look for those colors in other fabrics. I don't use color wheels, but many people find them useful, going for opposite colors or 2 colors each 1/3 of the way around the wheel. After a little while, it will all be automatic for you. Enjoy!

I see you finished Judy's mystery train ride just in time for Christmas. That was a fun one to do. Kept us guessing right up to the end! Yours came out great. I'm sure your friend will like it. You know there'll be a new mystery train ride starting in January sometime too.
