Thanks for all the kind comments. I agree on Mardi Gras colors....could it be that I was born in Louisiana and rather fond of the colors. I had not thought about it being Mardi Gras colors until Quiltmaker made the connection.
Becky you commented on my grand-darling wanting the embroidered one. Well when she came over to get this one and saw the embroidered one she asked if she could have both. LOL I am almost finished with it and will give you a sneak preview before I send it to the lady that quilts it.

I LIKE your designs. You managed to pick out great colors and put it together just right. I don't care for language though. You used the F word :!: Horrors such bad language on the forum. :!: Say completed but the F word makes us procrastinators feel bad    If you can talk your GD out of one I'll send you my adress and you can ship it to me. That will make up for the "bad" language!

Ps Waht part of LA did you come from? I am originally from around New Orleans.

What a beauty, You alway out do the last one you make, I loved the teapot with flowers sq. I hope Santa will let me have a embroidery machine this Christmas. As always I can't wait to see the next one and the next one, Your GD would be smart to lay claim to each one in the developing stage, And you know we can't say NO to our G-babies. You are just so darn GOOD. Love it, Love it, Love it.

Gosh how foolish of me for using the F word...perhaps "completed" will be better so I want get banished from the message board. Ha!

I am from the town of Winnfield, it's about 35 miles from Alexandria. Want to know if you went to Louisiana and got the best and left. That is what I tell everyone about my Mississippi husband.

Yes Beth: I guess you could say that. My DH and I were high school sweethearts. Lived in my home town of thibodaux for a year and hightailed to the big city of Baton Rouge. We moved around quite a bit, even lived for a while in Kilgore.Tx and finally settled in NC--I may move to another town when I retire, but not out of state!

Now as far as improper and forbidden use of the "F" word. You're lucky Patrice didn't catch you and that it was only Tim. No telling what body part she'd lop off. She already got Tim's big toe!

Both of those quilts are just beautiful and now I am in the throws of "talent envy" so thank you very much!!!

The first one, Mardis Gras, that you showed. I like the block with the square but the triangles on the outside. Anyone, like patrice??, know how to make that easier than it looks?? She knows I hate triangles.

Tell Tim to watch it, if he's not careful, you may have to take another toe. A person can live just fine with only 8. Hee hee.
