    Thanks very much! This took almost a week to do because I designed it as I went along. I started with the lover's knot in the center and then had to plan my borders since I was working with directional, bias cut fabric. Quite a challenge!That's what I love about this board. Everyone can appreciate the amount of work involved!

    They will love their wedding gift....you did a great job! I need to add a celtic knot to my "to do list". Thanks for the advice on using ties....what a wonderful idea.

    As many ideas are, it was born out of sheer desperation. i searched the net for days, looking for fabric with cigars and guinness beer on it. I didn't want cotton knit because it stretches too much. Ties were not cheap and certainly presented unique problems. I used a total of 5 ties.

    Indeed, my first time FMQ'ing! I know I'm my own worst critic so I wasn't totally happy with it. Also know that no one sees the inconsistencies like I do so I was happy with the results. Also glad it was a small piece as it does take a lot of time to do. Thanks for the nice words. They always encourage me to practice practice practice.
