Default Finished the D9P Baby Quilt

Last night I finished the baby quilt I've been working on. I'm pretty excited about this one! It took me 8 days between work and everything else. Some things I really like about it:

-- The fabric, first and foremost. I used Moda's Walk in the Woods, which I believe was a fat quarter pack that I purchased a few years ago. I really love this line-- wish I could still get it!
-- This is my first D9P and it was so fun to work with! I did screw up the placement of a block but I don't think it's noticeable.
-- First time I've hand stitched the binding on. I have no idea why I waited so long to do it this way-- it wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be, and took less time than I anticipated, though I did work slowly. I can see that my stitches toward the end were much more even than in the beginning. :-)
-- I finally got to make a pink quilt!!! Hooray!!

This is the second quilt on my frame with the Janome 1600P. I'm still learning, so there are some uglies that I don't want to think about, but all things considered, I'm happy. It lays flat and I really enjoyed hand stitching the binding.

Thanks everyone! I really enjoyed making this one. And, I used up all of the pink but I have enough left over of the other colors to do something small. It will be a totally different look, but I'll get to keep some of the foxies & birdies for myself. Very happy about that!
