Agree completely - as a lifelong hand quilter I am prejudiced. In hand quilting, you THINK about where each stitch goes. Some of the machine quilting I see is so random. It just goes all over the top with no rhyme or reason. Now please don't yell at me, I said SOME!!! not all.

i was able to hand quilt 5 full-sized quilts for my grandchildren and two baby size for great grands (who I am still waiting on) and now I have a very hard time holding the needle. Jan in VA encouraged me to do big stitch quilting and I have had some success with that. What beautiful work you have done on this wonderful keepsake quilt.

Beautiful job and really keeping with the style of the antique piecing. Love it.

There is nothing to compare or compete with hand quilting. I try to hand quilt all my quilts (unless it is a hurry up baby quilt) You have done an excellent job turning this top into a masterpiece.

Beautiful. Great job. Kudos to you for hand quilting. Seems like people are in such a hurry to get a project done that it is finished the fastest way possible. Yours looks amazing. Thank you for sharing.
