That is gorgeous. I am constantly looking at woodworking books and Chinese cut paper designs for gorgeous silhouettes like this to do on quilts. This is just an exceptional one. and you did such a great job of placement on it.

I'm sorry to keep asking questions but just one more ;)
Did you needle turn sew it on once you ironed it one or do like a blanket stitch?

I'm a newbie and I just don't even know how you did that.
It's breathtaking! Is it appliqued?? Like one piece or something?? Is it the turn under kind of applique? Is the background one piece?? I'm just blown away!!
Qbee, The pattern is traced onto the paper of two sided Wonder Under. If you print your own pattern, you must print it backwards so that the pattern is facing the direction you want it to face. Then the pattern is ironed onto black fabric (I used Kona black). Then you cut out the pattern and iron it onto your background fabric. I then sandwiched it, quilted it, put a pocket on the back to hang it and then I bound it as you would a quilt.
Hi Qbee! I just sent you a PM with the way I did this wall hanging. Because it will hang and not be laundered as often as a quilt would be, the picture is ironed on with wonder under and then stitched around the cut edges. It really is pretty easy.

I looked at www.nutsandboltsfabric.com but couldn't find the pattern. Could you give us the name of the designer or publisher? I really like that pattern!
