What great way to use up your thrifty fabric...it made a colorful jelly roll rug.

I was unaware that you could purchase batting strips. I have so much batting here I think I would use my own and just cut the 2.5" strips.

Did you use the pattern from Nancy's to make the rug? It looks like pretty easy to do without a pattern, but what I sometimes think looks easy isn't. Do you recommend that pattern?

Finally, the pattern states that it is for a specific size. I would love to make one that is long and narrow for my upstairs hallway. Now that you have made one, do you think it would be easy to alter the pattern size to fit a space you would need it to fit?

Thanks!

Suzanne

I think the batting strips may be a new product. A lot of places are sold out. I'm waiting for my local shop to get their delivery this week. For me it will be worth it. I'm not the world's best cutter sometimes. I understand if you use batting you've cut you also need to use batting tape to connect the strips.
Having said that, Murphy yours is much more economical. It's gorgeous!

When we buy fabric we pay for both sides, so one can use the side we like the best. You made a great choice to use the 'back' of the fabric to calm it down.
Might cut my batting into strips as I get them to make a rug in the 'future'.
