    No problem for the hijack, ladies. I agree, I don't think I will EVER do another Pam Bono design. Doing it as a BOM helped keep it manageable. That is also why I am trying to decide if I want to do the complicated pieced flower border or keep it simple and just put flowers in the corners. Thanks for all the kind words.

    Here are a few more of the finished blocks. If you go back and look at the fleur de lis at the beginning of the post you can see how many more pieces it has than these do.

    All the blocks are gorgeous and look really good. You will have a beautiful quilt you its finished. I am with you on the border, a plain border will really make the top show even more.

    I know it is easy for me to say, but are you sure you don't want to do the floral border, after all this work? You have really done such a beautiful job on your blocks. I just love your colors.

    Surely have enjoyed looking at the additional blocks, but after seeing them, I have to ask another question:
    Are Pam Bono patterns not a favorite because of the technique she uses to get the look?
    I have seen some pattern books that make you feel like you have been blasted back to the dark ages because the techniques are so ... passe! I like the inspiration, but their techniques STINK!
    Is that the problem with a Pam Bono pattern? This is not the first place I have heard discouraging words regarding this "artist". <wave>

    Thank you so much for posting the other blocks. Your color choices are perfect! I have only done a couple of Pam Bono blocks but I do know they can get intense!

    I can't take credit for the color choices, as the blocks were packaged kits from LQS, all batik solids. The technique is mostly just tedious with so many small pieces to cut, keep track of, and then piece. I spent this evening cutting out the pieces for the floral border. {sigh}
