    Basically, it's a very even running stitch embroidery. The Japanese traditional sashiko can be done in even lines, or simple patterns. I did lines. It's kind of my way of hand quilting, without having to be a good hand quilter. I think you can kind of see it in this pic...

    You're much better at hand quilting than I will ever be. I don't ever intend to hand quilt!

    Wow never heard of a crumb quilt ! Why is it called that ? And .....really liking this sashiko quilting !!! May have to give this a go ! What kind of thread did you use please and thank you ?!
