Finished my "quilt for kids!"
#13
I think your quilt turned out great! I am excited about this project. I read about quilts for kids on here. I contacted them and had them send me eight kits. I got a local sewing store to let me host a day in February and I will provide refreshments. Hopefully we will get them done. I will post some pics from the sewing day.
I do this with Christmas stockings for the troops and pillowcases for sick children. Have also days to teach "crumb blocks" from the scraps left over from the Christmas stockings and got enough blocks done for two quiilts that were donated for raffle for the troops(Marine Family Foundation.

Even if they won't ship to Canada, that doesn't mean they wouldn't accept quilts you made. I am going to make more, some with my own fabrics. It was a good feeling knowing the quilt might bring a small comfort to a sick child.I also appreciated saving fabrics from the landfill.

My daughter and I have also done Quilts for Kids. Finished the kit and now will make our own to donate. Another thing I'm interested in is "Little dresses For Africa".. dresses made from pillow cases or any simple pattern. Katherine P
