    Finished My Modern Neutral/Metallic Quilt

I made this quilt for one of my son's friends who is getting married in a couple of weeks. Their colors are neutrals and metallics. It's a queen size - 93 x 110. According to her bridal registry, it should match perfectly! I love color, so this was not my favorite quilt, but I've started to like it a little moreName: IMG_2852.jpg

OOh, I like it and I"m sure they will, too. The soft palette is sophisticated, and your choice of burnt sienna mixed in with the neutrals keeps it from being bland. (I'm a color lover, too, so I totally get your feelings.) It looks especially great with that lovely fall backdrop in your photo.

Oh, it is a beautiful quilt. And I agree, they need to add "absolutely" the color of your gorgeous tree. What a gorgeous color to add to the bedroom.

I agree! The quilting is awesome! I have trouble working with neutrals, too. I love the coral with the neutrals. It keeps it from being boring.

I like everything about your quilt. Did you plan your color placement of the strips in each row or did you just grab the strips as you pieced? The lucky couple will be thrilled to own this beauty!

What a great looking quilt! The colors are subtle but lovely. The quilting goes really well with all the straight lines in the top. They will love it! (If not...I know where you can send it - hint hint - LOL)

That's really beautiful! Sometimes we need to break away from our usual to make gifts for others. I was once making a quilt for DD, but before sewing all the blocks together I showed it to her to be sure she liked it ('cause I didn't). She loved it, so I enjoyed finishing it for her.
