I love this quilt and the randomness of it! I have been thinking of making my son a quilt along the same lines - randomly arranged different sized patches.

I'm sure your sister will love it, esp. since you said she appreciates the frugal aspect of using scraps, too.

I really enjoyed watching your process of making the squares. I love scrappy. Have a big container of scraps that never seems to go down. I will try some of your techniques. Thanks for posting
