Simple, yes but still a lot of work and it is wonderful, she will love it. It is so nice of you to make it for your friend.

I would say this is a Happy Quilt. I love the name you gave it. It is sure to be of great comfort to your friend. Looking forward to seeing her with the surprise quilt. I love the color combo, fabric choices, quilting choices...everything!
