Default Finished quilt for DIL -- 2 years in progress

She asked me for what she called a "granny quilt." One with lots and lots of colors and different fabrics. I worked on it off and on for over 2 years. Made from 2" squares. Back is flannel. I did QAYG since it is too big to handle on my machine. Quilt is approx 84" x 96. And colors are more vibrant than they appear. I really didn't think I would like it, but I do. Gonna be hard to give it away.

Love it. Reminds me of a quilt my Granny would have made.

Both sides are great! I love the colors of the back side, so she can go with the granny style or contemporary. I can see why you would want to do QAG with the size of it!

I believe you have exceeded her expectations! This is simply gorgeous. Scrappy quilts surprise us, I think. I don't always like them while in the process, but they turn out amazing. You have succeeded in creating a wonderful heirloom. Thank you for sharing.
