I think this quilt is very pretty the colours are stunning and the cat well like my cat they love the comforts of a home made quilt

the backing looks like it was made to order! just beautiful! is it made up of 2" squares as it looks? that's a LOT of squares!

It's 2.5" strips: 4 color strips sewn together & attached to 4 black strips sewn together into a 'tube', then subcut into 2" strips of 4 coloreds & 4 blacks. I think it's the same principle used for bargello & Around the World designs.

Thank you. The funny thing about that backing it was the only 'candidate' with the right colors that there was enough of!
I made that quilt to commemorate our 40-year anniversary, which is on New Year's Eve, so the confetti, stars and ribbons fit right in with the occasion. (What's that saying about "...sometimes you don't find what you want but end up with what you need..."?)
