This is for Marciacp. I told her that I would post my finished star spin topper. So, Marcia...I had problems with the inside corners when putting on the binding. I used "clear" thread to quilt it and that's why in the the close up of the binding you can see a little shine. I snipped a little bit of the topper fabric at the inside corner (not much) so that I could pull the fabric straight as I was sewing the binding and that leaves a little bit of fabric to fold over & hand stitch down when you hand stitch the binding to the back. The binding gave me problems. So, if you have any suggestions on how to make that easier...

Love your topper, I am planning on making one too but I was concerned about the binding also.

This website was a great help. I did everything but didn't know about the snip and that makes a lot of sense. I can see how I can improve those inside corners even though my didn't look all that bad. Worth the time to check it out!!
