    The first quilt was from a pattern called Tradewinds by Cozy Quilt Designs and the second one that I made from leftovers is from a pattern called "Boxed Stars". I found that in a search and it was a free pattern.

    The trade winds pattern uses a strip tube ruler. Is there a difference between the strip tube ruler and the Fons & Porter half and quarter ruler?
