A finished UFO top
#1
The board nudged me into action and I pulled out all my UFOs' and put them in order of the amount of work to finish them. This is the first of many. I started this about 10 years ago. It was about half completed. Hurray! The seams on the back go every which way being a novice way back when and it really won't matter when it is quilted.
There is no pattern, just Ohio Stars nesting side by side. I saw an article in QNM titled Big Block Little Block by jannie Holman and Irene Berry. There was only a picture of the quilt accompaning the article. So I looked in the few books I had, found the block and made it over and over 81 times. I just had to figure out how to do the half and quarter blocks. I really am pleased to finish it! She measures 81" X 81". Finished block is 9 1/2"sq.

GREAT choice of colors together.
I have about 20 Ohio stars that I need to make a top from. Mine are scraps and muslin. Now that I see yours I am inspired to use more color instead of muslin.
Thank you.
edited to add: Wow-oh-wow. I just looked at the photo again. Yours is a BIG Ohio star, too. Absolutely terrific!
