This is for my best friend as a birthday/Christmas present. I actually mucked up the pattern a little, but I decided it wasnt worth tearing out all the stitches once I discovered the problem.

This was the first quilt I took to a LAQ and I was very pleased with her work. She did exactly what I wanted in the time frame she quoted me. My only issue is that the quilt smells like her/her house - a little overy perfumed. But, a good washing will take care of that.

    Anyway, enjoy!

Very nice.... What is the name of your pattern? Quillting looks neat - can't tell, is there a theme to the quilting?

The pattern is called Venetian Dreams from a Fons & Porter magazine earlier in the year.

The quilting is kind of hard to see but it's a large paisley pattern, similar to what's on the lighter orange fabric (although it's hard to tell).

Ohhhhhh the colors are wonderful! And only you will "know" that you "mucked up" the pattern. Your best friend will be just thrilled! Great job!

    Carolyn,

It was out of a Fonds and Porter magazine from earlier in the year (Sept/Oct-ish. I can try to find it when I get home tonight).

It's no longer on their website as a free pattern, but it is aavilable to members (apparently) from this link (search the browser for "Venetian Dreams". it's near the bottom).

if you find the pattern I would appreciate it. Here are some quilts that I have done.

    Thank You, Carolyn

I would also love the pattern. I am making this quilt for my son and his bride for a wedding gift and did not realize I didn't have the pattern, just the print out from Fons and Porter website. I've looked everywhere for this pattern and have already purchased the fabric! ARGH. If anyone knows where I can find this, please let me know. Thank you!

    Kristy,

I love your quilt. I made that same pattern, also. It seems like someone else on this list, made it, as well. I think it's a good pattern. My colors are cream, turquiose and chocolate brown. The colors in this picture are not true. For some reason the colors look pale. I gave the quilt away before I realized that I didn't have a good picture.
