Jingleberry I like that idea!

I owe her a Christmas quilt too but probably not this year. I have lots of Halloween blocks to make for my 5 grandkids, I like your idea of a special mark for each one. Too bad I didn't think of it for their past quilts.

Very nice, colorful and bright. What a nice gift. I wouldn't say anything about your mishap. I would not use the pen on satin. Will bleed. Maybe some embroyidered letters or if you machine can do that I would do her name.

Me too....or maybe do a satin label with her name and applique it over the top. Anyway, whatever you decide - it's beautiful.

I'm with some of the others and think it would look nice if you added a couple random triangles elsewhere.

That is a beautiful quilt. I love all the blocks and the she will never know the binding wasn't supposed to be that way. Great job and thanks for sharing.
