    Default Firedancer quilt

So, I'm a huge Dave Matthews Band fan. Hubby asked me to make some kind of DMB themed quilt, and he was thinking something with his old concert T-shirts. I was thinking more like this:

That's called a Firedancer, and she is symbolic of the Dave Matthews Band among fans. (At a concert, you can't turn around without seeing this in tattoo form!) I've never designed my own quilt from scratch before, so this was quite an undertaking, using an image of the firedancer and Excel, but it seems to have worked out! The colours in the image above are reference the different styles of blocks I needed, everything is very scrappy in the actual quilt.

Here is the quilt so far, I just passed about 50% done last night. I love it!

Nicely done. Amazing how versatile Excel can be, isn't it? I designed my Frankenstein quilt with graph paper and Excel.

I hope your husband likes it, too. You are doing a great job on it.

Very cool, I love the scrappiness of it! Glad to see I'm not the only one making quilt designs in Excel.
