I like "simple" paper piecing, lol. Your blocks are fabulous. I would never try one of those.

It's not finished yet. The above blocks are just 3 of 8. I started fmq the orange and yellow block section 2 nights ago. I ran out of the heavier gold silk thread, so had to hunt websites to find it and order more. It's coming from Colorado, so will have to wait a few days for it to arrive. Then I need to fmq the backgrounds, sew the 4 sections together, fmq the seam areas, bind, hanger sleeve, etc. It'll be about a queen size when done, but goes on a wall, not a bed. I've been working on it since last Oct. but worked on 2 other projects in there two - a OBW, to be given to our best friend's for their cabin/now home and pieced blocks for one side of a new duvet for our bed. It's been all this quilt since March tho.

OMG. Now I know why I mostly just make purses. Your work is stunning. I can't even imagine me doing something like that, so I live precariously through alll of you on this board....

I can't wait to see the finished quilt either. It is way beyond my ability but that won't stop me from enjoying your work.
