Saw one that was very cute, tried it out in scrap fabric. The lid opens and has a space for thread, needles and thimbles. What would you change? Honest answers needed, no hurt feelings.

I would not change nothing. Just one question, what did you use to make it stand up like that?

Ok, it is made with a yougart cup lid (the bottom), a paper towel roll and toilet paper roll (the center). The lid gives it a firm base. The paper towel roll fits inside the toilet paper roll like a glove so I did not have to sew the two together to hold the lining, I just glued it together. I did have to hand sew the trim in place for the lid and bottom.

If your wanting to make them and sell them figure how long it took. I would think $15 to $20. most quilters will pay that. Its very cute I have seen one like it by Mary Inglebright. Not sure if I spelled her last name correct.

Maybe you should make a mug to go with it?
