I immediately noticed the adorable smocked dress, too. It's a "Southern" thing; both my girls, all nieces and granddaughters, and even a few very young toddler boys have worn smocking in dresses and "John-John" rompers. My 88 year old mother was arranging a pattern for pleating just yesterday; have to mail it off to the shop for that service these days. It will be a christening gown for her great-grand-to-be.
The quilt is wonderful, too, by the way. The littles love that tactile feel of rag quilts!

Oh yes, I love to smock also.
Oh, my, what a doll! The quilt is adorable too! Love the color combination.
What I also noticed is the dress Kaylee is wearing. It is so like the dresses my girls wore some 50 years ago - little puffed seleves, round collors, smockig and full skirt...it brought back so many memories of my "little girls." Is the dress new or vintage?
