Nice quilt - 5" my choice too.
I've seen a couple done with 6" or larger squares. Doesn't
    come across well.

Very nice. Love the color combination you used. I have been wanting to make one of those quilts since I saw it a couple months ago. I guess I should just grab the fabric out of my stash and get cutting. :)

You will really enjoy making this.I did!! I sure will do another one and I usually do not like to do repeats. No cutting 5" squares with charm [packs and it moves along real quick.Great for a beginner like myself.

How many charm packs to make a lap quilt? Any idea? I don't have a clue but want to work on something that doesn't require reading a pattern, just sew, iron, cut, sew, iron....

I bought a bag of 300 4" squares on ebay a year or so ago. Going to use this for my 9 patch project. What would y'all do, separate in lights, med & darks and just reach in and grab? Suggestions please!
