    Default First Jelly Roll Quilt

I named this quilt "Learning Curve" because I had never heard of a jellyroll quilt or a walking foot presser foot. After Googling both, I ordered the presser foot and cut strips. I learned that order is important, and I need more than 5 colors to make my own jelly roll.
I used the red fabrics that I had been collecting for one of my best friends. Since she homeschooled all 5 children, I'm sure she will appreciate my education and overlook the flaws.

    P. S. walking foot: where have you been all my life?

Yes, isn’t the walking foot an amazing thing...pretty colors in your jelly roll quilt. I’m sure your friend will appreciate your thoughtfulness.

That's a glorious jelly roll quilt, especially for a first one! I personally really like the way the colors interconnect in those long fingers.
