First Quilt with Wool Applique - 4 blocks of 12

These are the first 4 blocks of my "Summertime" quilted wall hanging by Erica Kaprow. I am enjoying working with wool and hope to do more small items in the future. I love some of the small wall hangings and table mats I have seen available.

Your wool applique looks fantastic! Each block has a lot of intricate stitching. I sure hope you show us all of your blocks.

Looks like you have taken to wool applique like a "duck to water". Really wonderful blocks that you have done so far. Don't you just love the colors and texture of the wool? Ever since I made some wool ornaments, I have wanted to do more. Still trying to find some decent wool. I do already have the fusibles so I am ready to go.

What a great job you're doing! Such an ambitious project for your first go at wool😄 And I love the wonky stitching on the bird's tail feathers! Such an extra dash of whimsy! Keep us posted.

This is lovely and so whimsical. The bright pieces really pop on the dark background. Can't wait to see the rest!

beautiful work. i love the wool applique, but it's so pricey to do. yours came out super great.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Oh, this is sooo gorgeous! Cannot afford the BOM (which is out of stock, too) but can buy her book with the pattern! Anybody know what/where you could buy suitable wool for making a quilt like this?
