I started making this block for the middle of a quilt yesturday.
It is my first Real attempt at applique. I was crusing right along and stopped to work in the kitchen. Well I stuck my hand down in the trash to smash it down and sliced my finger open on a tuna can lid. I had to stop and go to the urgent care for 4 stitches in the bottom of my finger right at my palm. I was more upset about having to stop working on the top because I had such a good start on it. Hopefully I can get back to it today.

What a beautiful start to your applique. Those tuna cans can be horrible. I hope your hand feels better soon.

GREAT job for first applique! I love applique more than anything but it hasn't been my FAVORITE yet. I keep thinking the RIGHT project has to come along & then I will get addicted
