    First T-Shirt Quilt

Might be the last too-felt more like work than quilting should be :-) On the positive side the quilt was for my BIL and he loved it. I used fleece on the back. Picture is not the greatest...

Great quilt. My DD made my T-shirt quilt and several others without using a stabilizer. She said it wasn't that difficult. She STID before meandering it.

with the fleece backing, it's a cozy quilt.

That is a great quilt! You did a good job and have to be pleased with yourself! Maybe making one tee shirt quilt is enough. It would be for me.

I can see why your BIL liked it...and the responses we often get from our family and friends is what makes it all worth while...even if some quilts are more work than pleasure. : )
attitude is everything...the rest will fall into place.

That is really nice. It has a very clean and crisp look. Every year in the fall, I have customers come in wanting to make a T-Shirt quilt as a Christmas gift - and they have never made a quilt before! I try very hard to discourage them. But, if they insist, I spend a bit of time with them trying to explain some of the things that will cause them to scream and holler and hopefully help them thru it! I also have them watch QIAD's T-shirt quilt video. She does it nicely and has several versions. Unfortunately, there are so many garbage videos out there that it is so easy to confuse the beginner. Hopefully it helps them complete their project and not turn them away from quilting.

I love it! Looks fabulous! I want to try and do one for my GD. I am a little afraid I might bite off more than I can chew! But after seeing yours I may just give it a go. Thank you for showing
