Those are beautiful cross stitch blocks...and a lot of handwork.

I tried blowing the picture up, but I can’t make out whether this is cross-stitch or needlepoint. In either case, what kind of fabric are you working on? I’m amazed that the the stitches didn’t pucker the fabric. Your designs and colors and stitches are all gorgeous. What beautiful designs.

They are cross stitch, sewn on 27 count Zweigart Linda (100% cotton) antique white. 2 stands of DMC thread. I always use a hoop and stretch the fabric drum tight. When a square is complete I soak them in water as hot as I can stand, with Biotex. after soaking until the water is almost cold, rinse and wring out by hand. Put them right side down and use a hot iron and iron 'til dry. Drastic, but it works for me.
