I started this towards the end of July after spending weeks cutting up all my small scraps into whatever size squares I could get! It has been so much fun concentrating on colour value rather than coordinating colours for a change!!

I have only added borders to the sides and bottom as this will be used on our sofa bed it measures 87" square, I'm gonna have fun quilting/wrestling this one through my DSM !!! :D :D :D

For all of you out there that hasn't bitten the bullet and gone totally scrappy, get cutting up your scraps and join in the fun!

Thanks again, Grammy Dywnn for starting your scrap quilts topic, I don't think I would have been brave enough to do this without all the inspirational quilts posted, so thanks everyone

The colours are much more vibrant in real life!

Can you see my little fudge on the bottom border I had to centre the diamonds to avoid a half a diamond...didn't plan that very well did I!!

    Izy,
That is a very beautiful scrappy quilt. Love your choice of pattern and boarders. Have fun with your wrestling match. :)

Beautiful, I think I need to invest in some white fabric, I have lots of scraps but not solids.

If you look at these close ups you will see that my 'lights' are in fact all shades, from white, off whites, creams, beiges, lemon, pink, green and lilac1 As long as you have contrast between the lights and darks, anything goes..no need to go and buy white :D :D :D

I can't see it, what I can see is a beautiful quilt and being scrappy makes it extra special IMO

Wow thanks for all your quick replies, I am sitting here with my feet up on the other sofa, admiring my quilt, just wish the photo's showed up the colours true, it really is much more vibrant. The first border is a dark teal green and the outer border is a navy with lots of bright little stars all over it!!

Bless you all for your interest and encouragement during this project
