Default "Flames" Stack & Whack Quilt

I made this throw size quilt for my son (52 X 76), he's 6'3". I got the idea for the layout from a baby quilt posted by dhanke, thanks Diane, your quilts are beautiful. It took me a while to make. I straight stitched diamond shapes around the squares parallel with the hexes and meandered in ALL the black areas in the borders and hexes. I love the patterns that each hex made. My son really likes it. Thanks for looking

Beautiful stack n whack Donna! It is so amazing how much diversity you can get from a relatively simple print. I would never have thought that flames would result in such fabulous blocks. I have fabric pulled from my stash for several snw quilts, now all I need is time

. . . . . and now another one is added to my MUST DO list. Fantastic work - I love the flames. I have 3 sons in law who would have a fit over this. Thanks for the inspiration.
