Great little quilt! Thanks for the reminder about the flange binding. I do need to try it soon!

I use flange binding for all my quilts now. It was a little fussy in the beginning, but keep going and it will be your go-to binding all the time. I absolutely love how easy it is to sew on, and the detail that it adds to the quilt.

I often use flange binding. It gives a great finish to the quilt.

I have also used it around a center portion--like you have--just the purple -- folded--like a small flange--it helps the center portion or even a panel have a little more definition.

CLR game is a dice game. Left, right center. We bring 3 fabric cuts, charms, WOF, 10 inch squares, etc. You rolldice and either pas you fabric to rt, EFT or put in center. Fun game .it can be bought at Walmart for about $8 or less. We play every month. The winner brings something made from fabric the next month!

I like the McCalls you tube video.just google!

Thanks Nan. Now I remember and will do this a little more often. I just made a quilt on which I wanted to use a certain color, but didn't have enough of it. This would have been the way to go, as I had enough for 1 1/4 inch strips.
