Oh, I love the little quilt. I had never heard of "Flat Stanley" before. How clever...

My grandaughter did a similar thing in girlscouts with a rabbit. They each took it a week or two at at time...that rabbit went to europe. Sarah took him to a rollar skating place, six flags and Lake george. They used safety pins and added tickets with the name of the event. Picture were given in to leader for album. This was done till the girls aged out. There were many albums to look through..as they had done it many years. :D

Glad he didn't fall in the ice hole. It would have hurt him to try to iron him dry.

my daughter and her friends had a doll called "that man". He went travelling with all the girls- just like flat stanley. He went to Italy and all over. He was given to Jess at her shower because she was moving to North Carolina and going on her honeymoon to Hawaii. Don't know where he is now.

    That's cool though!

I'm a first grade teacher. And when I read the subject of this thread I just about died! My students just sent out our Flat Stanleys! We're already getting some back. It would have been SOO COOL if this was one of my Stanleys! It's not. Ours look slightly different. But how cool! I bet your granddaughter is going to be so excited to receive this back! Way to go!!!
