I just sewed the strips and put the entire top together before sandwiching. Next time I'll QAYG each block and save myself a LOT of neck and shoulder strain! lol

Grannyp, you might try ordering through http://www.marshalldrygoods.com/ . I ordered some fabrics from them last month and was pleasantly surprised at the quality for the low prices. My order came in quickly and I'll be using them again!

Beautiful quilt and I love the sentiment behind the label. Can't say "Love you!" any other way!

The large round disc at the bottom center front of the machine that has a screw driver slot in it adjusts the distance between the letters and adjusts the elongated or scrunched up letters, too. Turn it to the right to bring the letters closer together, to the left to move them further apart. My letters had gaps in them such as that the bottoms of the "b" didn't close, etc. That adjustment solved the problem!

Beautiful log cabin and I love the label you made. Never seen a label made this way but it is a great idea. Sounds like you put a lot of time and effort into your quilt and it was well worth it for a awesome quilt like this.

I've been following your progress on this with great interest and I'm so happy that you got it all done. It looks WONDERFUL! You did an amazing job on it. I have a Janome as well and I recognize the font in the date line - my Jamome only has one font and one font size, so what you see is what you get. I hope your sister loves this for years to come.
