    Floral Log Cabin WIP

Thanks to barnbum for posting her watercolor floral log cabin! It's gorgeous, so I sent a picture of it to one of my sisters who is known as "The Flower Lady" in southeastern CT. Of course she fell in love with it, like I did, so I told her I'd start working on something similar for her. Here's the first block finished, and have 47 more that need two more rounds completed. I used 1 1/2" strips and the finished block measures about 13.5" square. Can't WAIT to see how this all turns out!

    Thanks for looking!

Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

I know the quilt you are talking about and can't wait to see yours. I too, have been gathering floral fabrics for some time now so that I could start my own. Yours is going to be great and you have made a start which is more than I can say! Keep us posted of your progress.
She who dies with the most fabric, didn't sew fast enough!

Log cabin blocks are so fun to make in my opinion. There's something about the process that brings me comfort. Sounds strange but maybe it's just going around and around something in the same direction and then ending up with something so beautiful in the end. Keep it up! It'll be great!
