Default Miss Kelley quilt pattern made by leatheflea

Made this little cutie to go in my studio. After finishing and looking at how it hangs, I think Im going to do more quilting on the the applique to make the puckers go away. You can find the pattern at Erin Russeks etsy site http://www.etsy.com/listing/91922197/miss-kelly. This is the 2nd wall hanging Ive made from this series of quilt patterns. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...g-t177075.html I'm also slowly working on a full size quilt with all the patterns.http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t182224.html Sorry that the picture is so blurry, for some reason my camera just would focus this morning. After about 10 attempts I just choose the best one.

Your wallhanging is beautiful! I love the clean lines of the appliqué but I have puzzled over the same dilemma too. Do you leave the big appliqués plain, which highlights the shapes or put in some quilting to get rid of the puckers? I think the next time I do big shapes I will use water solvable thread to stitch extra batt behind the shapes for a trapunto effect before sandwiching.
