Default floral squares info

Thank you for all your kind comments, I enjoyed making and COMPLETING this quilt, considering that I have about 35 UFOs languishing in a box. The quilt was incredibly simple and fast, I used 6" squares (finished size) the size is 85" long x 107" wide, I used 19 different fabrics, I had yardage of some and single squares of others, but it all worked out. I used round clips to keep the fabric rolled tightly as I fed it thru the machine. I also used it polyester light weight batting, as this is going to be my spring/summer months quilt.
The fabric was given to me by a friend, it belong to her mother who passed away at the age of 93, she also gave me her mother's 1950 Singer, it works great after I cleaned and oiled it, but it weights a ton.

Even though as you say, rosiewell it was incredibly simple, I say it's incredibly beautiful. Loved the comment about the fabric being 'old fashioned' OMGoodness I must be getting 'old' afterall... Wasn't it just yesterday that floral fabrics dominated fabric choices in stores? I still love realistic floral fabrics and recognize a couple in your quilt that I still have in my stash!

Thanks for showing this. Am starting a floral for my mom and pondering patterns. Thanks for posting the size of squares you used. Am thinking of going larger but undecided now. Choices. Her backing will be cats, mostly.
