Hi all, I'm fairly new to the board, but I'd like to show off the first quilt top I've done in about 20 years, the last one I finished was when I was a teenager. This is a flower fairy quilt top ready for the quilter, for my 10 year old daughter, I just finished yesterday. Just have to finish my sons top now.

What a delightful quilt, your daughter will love it!

And, I hope you aren't going to wait 20 more years to finish the next one......Quilting is just way to much fun!

Ha! No, my sons is almost done, just decided to add yet another border to it as it barely covers the top of his double bed and I'd like it a bit bigger than that. Hopefully it doesn't take 20 years to put on that border though...;) Thanks for the compliments, it feels good to finish something!

Your fairy quilt turned out so pretty! I love your colors. I have a fairy panel done in purple. I might do the same layout as you did.

    Thanks for the compliments everyone!
Sugarpumpkin: The flower fairies are from Michael Miller, they are the Sunshine group, I've still seen them for sale on ebay, I used two of the smaller fairy panels as there are only 12 on a panel. The inner fabric is Krystal Buff, I think that's also Michael Miller, the borders are Fairy Frost in Celadon and Sprout. The pattern is from the Fons and Porter Kids Quilts Summer 2009, I had to change the width of some of the sashing strips though compared to what the pattern said.
    HTH,

Beautiful! Will she be using it as a throw or is it to be a wall hanging for her room?
