Flowering Snowball
#31
I forgot to mention... in case anybody else is wondering... I researched the name and its named for the Flowering Snowball Bush (Hydrangia/Viburnum.) Makes sense since most antique quilt blocks were named from something the quilt maker could relate to. Just a bit of fun trivia. LOL

Yes, I went to several sites to see how to sew these curves and get instructions. It is the Flowering Snowball, the girl on the site I posted calls her Shieldmaiden.

I have found that using lots of pins and taking it slow on the curves keeps me from getting puckers. I also like to iron/press my sections when I sew them. They seem to fit together better when they are flattened by the ironing. Like I said before, if I can do this, so can you. Just take your time, don't get frustrated and have fun. I'm not in a race to get this done, I'm just playing with the pattern.
I haven't sewn today because our air conditioner decided today would be a good day to quit cooling! Repairman is coming next Wednesday. It is 87 degrees in my house right now at 12:48 a.m. Too hot to do anything. Sitting here reading the board in my undies with a fan blowing on me. haha I know..."too much information" as my brother in law always tells me.

TEDDYBEAR LADY... I feel your pain! I live in FL and had a similar experience due to power outages from storms. Not TMI... just plain good sense. Hope your repairman has a cancelation and gets there earlier!

It is going to be a great looking quilt. I love the pattern & the scrappy. Really nice. I also think your design wall is cool . I only have 1 big window & it is in my dining room so I can't do that but it is an awesome idea. I hope you post a picture when you finish. We would love to see it
