That is really wonderful what you have done! She is going to love it and you did a great job with the colors and piecing! I hope something is being done by a lot of people to help her situation!

Yes, our county housing authority is wonderfully proactive about abolishing the reasons for homelessness. The family is in a small apartment, the mom is in a retraining program, the girls are all in school, and they get food, counseling, vaccinations, and all the necessities.

The counselors ask each one in the family about their favorite things and favorite colors, and then our group makes each family member her own quilt. It seels so good to do good. And like my gran used to say, "It's better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness."

So much homelessness here is women with small children, due to domestic abuse. It's so good to see these folks get a fresh start.

Beautiful she will love this and it will mean so much to her. Great job and great of you to make it for her. I also hope she gets a home soon. I think everybody and all animals should have a home.
