Heres a picture of the rug I made. The pattern is flying geese. It is done with kaffee fassett fabrics, and was done using a locker hook. I hope you enjoy it.

The strips were rotary cut and then folded in 3, you can tear and not fold for a ruffer look.

That's a great rug. I would hate to put it on the floor because it would get dirty!

That is Beautiful!! What a great idea a rug to go with the quilt. You could make a very nice set quilt, pillow shams, rug.

The only way I know is to latch hook. I this done the same? cause I cant seee the tuffs like you do with wool. It looks awesome. Another way to use up scraps too.

To do LOCKER HOOKING you use a hook that looks somewhat like a crochet hook with a eye at the other end. The fabric is folded in 3, you then pull the fabric from the bottom of the matting up to the top, you can hook about 4-5 stitches on the needle at a time, then you pull the hook through the stitches and on the other end of the hook(where the eye is) there is cording and you pull that through
The size of the rug is 21 x 31
for those of you interested if you go on u-tube there is a video under
    locker hooking.
