what a lovely quilt. no wonder your dad loved it especially made by daughter. The backing brings it all together. You did flying geese like I like to do. the triangle squares and all different. I tried using the flying geese ruler but couldn't get them right so went back to the squares....that way can use more scraps. you did a wonderful job on such a cheery quilt.

I originally planned to make the quilt in plaids & stripes thinking it would be more masculine looking. But he wanted bright colors and I love working with brights so it worked for me. :-P

Batiks not usually my thing but love it and especially the backing.
Just lost my Dad in July and had one of those really missing him moments this am. So nice you know that he loved it. Having had wonderful parents is truly one of life's greatest blessings.
