my brother brought me a big stack of this beautiful fabric last time he was in hawaii. not wanting to cut it up i put it together with pin wheels that represent propellers. so now i can fly off to hawaii, too. the dark border is deep brown with gold veins. when i saw it i thought of lava. lots of lava in hawaii.
this is a couch throw. i will use the brown for the binding and now i just need to figure out how to quilt it.

sure izzy, maybe terri can come with us. the more the merrier.
although i think we should go home to spain with you after hawaii. i spent a couple of wks in spain about a hundred yrs ago (in the late 60's) and i absolutely loved the country. the people were so friendly. they made us feel so welcome in their country. it was a lovely experience.

Ok, Let's go! I know where ALL the quilt shops are in Hawaii. Oh, and my favorite store of all times......Kaimuki Dry Goods. Great fabric! I would spend way too much money there.! They have a website too, but not as good as being there in person.

I recognize some of that fabric. I have some of it! :)

Beautiful quilt and a hawaiian flower pattern would be pretty quilted all over. I love their fabrics in hawaii.
