Flying Koi kites
Last year I had an idea reading one of my daughter's book: I wanted to do koinobori kites, those great japanese flying fishes used to celebrate boys good health.

That's a great looking quilt! My son made a fish kite many years ago in a craft class. Sadly I had to finally throw it away due to deterioration. Your fish are colorful and interesting. Actually the whole quilt design is fantastic and I also love the way you quilted it ... the waves are a great added element.
